Merrymeeting Regional Adult Education is a joint offering of:
We were established in 1978 to provide high school completion and GED testing for students with interrupted educations.
The program quickly expanded to meet adult learning interests in crafts, self improvements and basic vocational skills.
Federal grants were secured to provide basic literacy skills and a program in English As A Second Language.
Nearly 100 adults graduate from the program annually, completing high school diploma requirements or passing a GED test.
We are committed to our primary mission:
To provide learning opportunities for the community adult, at all levels, and at a minimal cost to the individual students and the district taxpayer.
